RE: Auto login on revisit please!

Ah, I dunno how he has his scripts set-up, but it shouldn't take more than 20 minutes..

The way I have it for my sites:
I set a cookie with the username,
I set an md5 hash of the username concatenated with other stuff,
On login, I find the md5 hash of the username cookie concanated with other stuff: if it matches with the hashed cookie, I authenticate it.

RE: Auto login on revisit please!

im thinkin it would take longer than 20 mins for this site, as he as integrated the forums login function with his own site. And would have to change everything that uses sessions to post something to cookies. So hopefully it will happen all in good time

RE: Auto login on revisit please!

Assuming his design is in an include, he could add the cookie to his header in about 10 minutes I think, unless it messes with his session in some way.

RE: Auto login on revisit please!

well, because of forum, and all of the other stuff, it would be more than 20min, but not more then an hour, if he makes this autologin feature only on one or two pages, ie homepage...
