Booo codewalkers

I'm tired. cranky, and i want my codewalkers back. I've been coming here for ever. you'll find a few of my silly posts (i hope). but this last 3 mins of having to go through some retarded work around to reset my password because of an "upgrade" to the world's most recognizable and generic looking forum. and having to look away for fear of having an epileptic seizure from all the gotomeeting ads. and after my first impression. i was so compelled to do something i've never done before. Tell a bunch of strangers who don't care my opinion.

this sucks.

I liked the forum because it was lite. i liked the site because it was lite. i liked the amount of images on the site which helped make it -- lite. and by lite i mean straight forward, without a bunch of muck. Now all i see is flashing icons , and advertisements all over the place. And i'm sick and tired of seeing vBulletins. stupid icons. too many icons. flashy icons. that is not what makes a community better. I agree - reinventing the wheel is never the answer. and i never suggested that. i just ALWAYS get that as a first response when i mention anything about forum software. regardless. the site doesn't even act right. the header content is fixed. the content is full paged, then the footer is just more ads.

we'll see how long until i stop hanging out. how about the rest of you kids?

When will i need these *suggested* icons?

westmatrix99 agrees: I fully agree, sorry but I see no point in this new Design/Forum/Owner/Whatever Matt was thinking.
Also If he needed MOOLA then create a Google Adsense and then ask the users to click on the links to
make him tons of cash LIKE I DO...

You do not have to use the advanced editor to post replies, if you want to avoid seeing those icons then just use "quick reply". You can also turn off Images, Avatars, Signatures in the User Cp under Edit Options. This may make it easier to view the site, however i do not know if turning off images turns off Smilies.....

Oh and do be aware that the site is still relatively new, it still needs lots of tweaks etc.

um... yah. i know how to disable icons and stuff. and i know you don't have to use full edit. and i'd sure HOPE there was more tweaking to be done. but so far, the only thing that's been tweaked is adding unobtrusive javascript to provide keyword ads in our posts now. keep up the good work!

@westmatrix

You should know that making people click on your Adsense banners is agains their terms and conditions right? Also Matt did not need "moola" for personal gain. It has been discussed many many times in the past few days. So i will leave it at that

I totally agree i cant seem to find my way around with that (sorry) ret*rded search engine.. I liked the old forums more cause of the simplicity here are so much ads that it takes me an livetime to get around. I dont know if you noticed but i cant find a back button to the mainpage of codewalkers so you need to type into your browser codewalkers.com .

First of all, I apologize for iGrep not yet having codewalker content. I'm working on that now, and I hope to have that remedied shortly. However, if you want to search just the forums in the meantime, use the drop-down and choose advanced forums search. It will utilize the forum-specific search, built into vBulletin.

As far as navigation, for in-forum navigation theres the breadcrumb right underneath the page header. If you want to go to the content part of codewalkers, there is a link to it at the VERY top of every page, on the far right hand side.

Just to set things straight if you took the time to read my post I was saying that to westmatrix99 who mentioned Adsense clicking in the reputation comment on your original post...

Hi Roelor,

The content search will probably be available some time tomorrow. Im rebuilding our search catalog from scratch to include codewalkers, and it takes a while for a full build.

As far as the small letters, we have now outgrown that design at the top of the pages. My understanding is we will be redesigning it soon. Sorry for the strain on the eyes!

Hey guys,

The codewalkers information is now added to our search catalog.

All searches take you to our igrep engine, which indexes all of our websites. If you search from (www.codewalkers.com), all results will only be data from that site. If you search from (forums.codewalkers.com), the same is true.

If you are on www.igrep.com , and want to do a new search for only a certain site (or even a site + forums), click the ADVANCED SEARCH link.
