Creating a Search Application by Matt Wade?
Matt or ?
I am interested in making my own search engine on my site without using an open source... I tried your tut and it seems easy enough for a rookie like myself.. I am a litle confused on how many [php pages] there are here? I think it is: 1 search.php 2 searchclass.php 3 harvest.php 4 harvestclass.php 5 dbclass.php Is this correct, or am I missing something? Thanks in advance! |

RE: Creating a Search Application by Matt Wade?
All of those are php scripts, why do you not want the script to be open-source?

RE: Creating a Search Application by Matt Wade?
Well I might be confused to what is open source! I was just trying to say I wanted to learn how to do it myself instead of using freefind or google hack or some open source program already to use with someones logo on it. I think that is kinda tacky! And that is what brought me to the tutorial in the first place..
I'm guesing that this is open source, but not trying to confuse anyone.. Thanks for the reply, and do you now the answer to my above question? Thanks again |
