RE: i am new to php

I bought a book when I first time I started with PHP, I didn't find it as much help.

I learnt all I know from looking at pre-made scripts. Also www.php.net helped wonders.

Codewalkers has lots of tutorials, you should probably start off with something that covers strings, arrays etc

RE: i am new to php

Have no fear codebabies - we have ALL been where you are now.

A couple other resources -
1) How to ask a smart question (excellant for mailing lists and forums and rather humorous) - http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
2) the PHP manual. or if you want it in a different language.
3) a decent online book (for those that can't afford to buy one - http://www.hudzilla.org/phpbook/
