Need a tutorial
Yes something like a tutorial I guess.
You know those simple virtual pets that when you click on them you can feed them and the hunger bar goes up or those hug counters . Well I would like to use those for something else but I just can't find out how and what kind of coding I need. I'm not to bright with codding and know some basics. So please if anyone can help me, please do. And sorry to those who are already bored with these kind of questions. Thank You |

RE: Need a tutorial
I think it's a sarcastic reference to Visual Basic which is a programming lanugage and environment created by Microsoft.
If you want to make a virtual pet site I suggest you start learning basic programming. Don't pick a mega project as your first excercise -- you will just get disappointed at some point. |

RE: Need a tutorial
please don't misunderstand I don't want to create a pet site now I just wanted to make something like a sig picture a pet that when you click you open the pet's page and there are shown some infos. It's something like a questbar if you know those that when you enter your amount of money/gold what ever you get how much you have in %. Now what I want is for it to automatically update when you click it for ex. it has 20% that appear s in the picture and when you click it it will appear to have 30% and with time it will get less that's all i need. I know this has to have a php. page with it but I just can't figure out what kind. Anyway thank you for the help about Visual Basic and I will try my best to start and learn the basics

RE: Need a tutorial
sounds like a fairly simple php task...you should read up on some database design with mysql and interaction between php and mysql...there are some good tutorials out there...even on this site. take a look at them and if you still can't get it...I'm for hire
