Matt's News Tutorial (Part 1) was very informative, but also confusing at the same time.

It is NOT clear exactly how many different files are supposed to be used in the end, and what to name EACH of them. Suggestions were made as to some, but if you review the pages involved, there is still a big gaping hole (IMHO).

In starting to look at Part 2, that's where it stated there were "2" files involved in Part 1.

Can you re-tweak the Tutorial for Part 1 (and if any similar confusion in Part 2 - do this one as well), so that us 'Newbies' won't have so much difficulty?

What would be EXTREMELY helpful is to include the code for the 'FINAL' Page 1 AND Page 2 as-they-are-supposed-to-be, and to also clarify if the script(s) will work with PHP 'register_globals off' since this is the new default security setting.

Hopefully, your Database version of the News stuff will work with 'register_globals off' ???
