Toturial wont work? safe mode in restrict :(

Hi there,

im on php 4.3.x on a linux server and a windows 2k server for testing!

I tried and made a image gallery with this toturial: http://codewalkers.com/tutorials/53/1.html

Now the following is happening

when i try to run the script it comes up with this error saying that the safe mode is turned on and it should be off... THats no problem, just mailing the host and done

, but, why must the safe mode be off for such a script?

just wondering ;)
