Linux - Deployment of php on linux

I have defined a value like this in `defines.inc.php`.

define('INCLUDES_PATH', ROOT_PATH.'cms-includes/');
ini_set('include_path',INCLUDES_PATH.':'.ini_get(' include_path'));

when i try to use INCLUDES_PATH as giving path in file init.inc.php

require_once(INCLUDES_PATH . 'pear.mysql.php');

i get an error .

Fatal error in line 17 of file/var/www/web_loan/xampp/htdocs/cms-includes/init.inc.php
- Use of undefined constant INCLUDES_PATH - assumed 'INCLUDES_PATH'

same code works well in Windows on localhost. But not when i try to deploy on linux server . Is there any thing equivalent to `var_dum()` or `echo` to show the value of path for shell Linux?

thanks to all

I have replied in your other thread, which address the problem in that thread and the error you posted in this thread. This is actually more of a php coding issue.
